A Halloween tradition returns. The Alhambra Orchestra joins the Greater Miami Youth Symphony for an evening where movie themes and eerie classics come to life in a way that a television speaker simply cannot replicate.
On Friday, October 23, at the Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center, two family-friendly performances bring the full power of a symphony orchestra to one of the season’s most beloved celebrations. Hear iconic themes from Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings, and Ghostbusters, performed live and accompanied by spectacular visuals, in a 45-minute concert designed for audiences of all ages. The musicians take the stage in costume, so expect the unexpected.
Whether you are bringing ghosts, superheroes, witches, or the smallest night owls in your family, there is a performance time that works for you. Costumes are warmly encouraged, and not only for the children. Presented in partnership with The Children’s Trust.

Pinecrest Gardens
Pinecrest Gardens glows in December, and the orchestra plays right in the middle of it. Holiday Melodies gathers winter favorites from across Miami’s many traditions, the songs that mean home to somebody in every row. Two short sets, at 7 and 8, so you can wander the lights and still catch the music. Bring a blanket, bring the grandparents, bring the four-year-old who will not sit still. Nobody minds.
